Partnerize for Brands: Platform Review and How It Compares to impact.com

What Partnerize actually includes, how its license or percentage-based pricing works, and when to pick it over impact.com, all checked against each vendor's own pages.

A marketer reviewing an affiliate revenue dashboard on a laptop

Partnerize is one of the platforms that comes up when a brand outgrows a basic affiliate setup and starts comparing enterprise partnership tools. It is also one of the harder ones to evaluate from the outside, because it publishes no price list and describes itself in broad terms. This review looks at Partnerize from the brand side: who it suits, what the platform actually includes, how its pricing works, how it compares with impact.com, and how to decide between them.

Every feature and pricing detail below comes from Partnerize's and impact.com's own pages, linked as we go. Where a vendor makes a claim we have not tested, we say it is the vendor's claim. For the wider network landscape, start with our guide to choosing an affiliate network.

The short version

  • Partnerize is a partnership automation platform (software you run your program on), not a network that brings you publishers by default, although it does offer partner discovery.
  • It publishes no prices. You choose between a fixed license fee and a percentage-based fee, and the quote depends on services, program structure and regions.
  • Its strengths on paper are flexible tracking (including mobile apps), commissioning on custom data points, global payouts and built-in compliance monitoring.
  • impact.com publishes its lower tiers and offers a self-serve Starter plan for some ecommerce platforms. Partnerize is quote-only from the start.
  • Shortlist Partnerize if you are a larger or multi-region brand that wants control over commissioning and data. Smaller brands usually start elsewhere.

Who Partnerize suits

Partnerize is the trading name of Performance Horizon Group Limited, a company registered in England and Wales, and its homepage says it works across more than 200 countries and territories. Its marketer pages are organised by industry, with dedicated sections for retail, travel, finance, and subscriptions and D2C. The quote form on its pricing page asks for your annual online revenue in bands that run from "do not sell online yet" to more than $50 million, and whether you need multi-country support.

In our experience it fits best when at least one of these is true:

  • You run, or plan to run, programs in several countries and currencies.
  • You want to pay partners on something more specific than a sale, for example new customers only, a subscription that survives its trial, or a product category.
  • Your app is a meaningful share of revenue, so mobile app tracking matters.
  • You want your partner data flowing into your own analytics rather than living inside a network dashboard.
  • You already have partners and want better infrastructure, rather than needing a network to supply them.

If you are launching your first program on Shopify with a small budget, a published self-serve plan or affiliate software is usually a faster and cheaper start. Our guide on how to start an affiliate program covers that path.

Key features

Partnerize groups its platform into six areas: Discover, Track, Manage, Measure, Pay and Protect. Here is what each one covers, in its own words where it matters.

Discover: partner recruitment

Partnerize says Discover gives automated partner recommendations "from an ecosystem of 750,000+ partners and 250,000+ influencers within the Partnerize platform and beyond," with partner profiles that show audience demographics, website traffic and social media footprint. You can also run a private program by inviting your existing partners through a branded onboarding flow. Treat the recommendation engine as a starting list. In our experience, the partners that move revenue still come from targeted outreach, which we cover in our affiliate recruitment playbook.

Track: how conversions are recorded

Partnerize lists first-party pixel tracking, server-to-server, batch and mobile app tracking, plus ecommerce platform plugins and tag manager integrations. For apps, its AllTrack options are a direct API (no SDK required), its own SDK for iOS and Android, or third-party attribution tools including AppsFlyer, Branch and Adjust. It also says you can track and commission on unlimited custom data points, with examples such as size, colour, class of service and destination. Its integrations page describes the platform as API first and says most integrations take "just a few hours of development time." We would plan for more than that once testing and edge cases are included, but the server-to-server option is the one we push brands toward either way, because it does not depend on browser cookies.

Manage: commissions and partner communication

Manage covers commissioning, partner messaging and automation such as dynamic reward structures, action-based partner messages and spend allocation. On its subscriptions and D2C page, Partnerize gives examples of rewarding high-quality subscriptions, paying only for new customers, rewarding the reactivation of former subscribers and running upsell or cross-sell programs. This is where the custom data points pay off: if you can send it in the conversion, you can usually pay on it. Our guide to affiliate commission structures covers how to choose the rules before you build them.

Measure: reporting

Measure offers real-time analytics with pre-built and custom report views, automated delivery and KPI tracking. The point Partnerize stresses is that you can move partner data into your own reporting source of truth through integrations. Decide early which numbers you will judge partners on; our list of affiliate program KPIs is a good starting set.

Pay: global payouts

Partnerize says Pay automates partner rewards "in over 60 currencies across 214 countries," and handles invoice generation, insertion order execution, flat fee management and transaction validation in one place. It also mentions a fapiao payment solution for partners in China. For multi-region brands, consolidated payouts are often the single biggest admin saving.

Protect: compliance and fraud

Protect is powered by BrandVerity and combines paid search monitoring across the major search engines, web compliance monitoring and data-driven fraud detection that flags sudden changes in key metrics. Brand bidding by partners is one of the most common leaks we find in audits, so automated search monitoring is a real advantage. You still need clear rules in your program terms for the software to enforce.

Services and VantagePoint

Partnerize also sells services alongside the software. Its services page describes four packages, Enhance, Accelerate, Empower and Maximize, ranging from support for brands with full in-house teams or an agency to a single-vendor managed option, and says "service level is a choice; not a tier." Separately, VantagePoint is a newer product that Partnerize says measures partner influence in AI-mediated buying journeys, beyond the last click. That is a vendor claim about a new category, so we would ask for a live demonstration on your own data before letting it shape commissions.

Pricing model (quote-based)

Partnerize does not publish prices. Its pricing page says it offers "pricing optionality": either a fixed license fee or a percentage-based fee, so brands with a fixed annual budget and brands that fund the channel from performance can each pick the model that suits them. The page lists the elements that shape a quote:

ElementWhat Partnerize lists
Platform pricingFixed license fee or percentage-based fee
Service levelFull program management, in-house or agency supported
Program structureOne campaign or many, single region or global, number of currencies supported

Its FAQ adds that cost depends on whether you already have a program in place and whether you want platform access only or a service component too. On extras, the page says its pricing is all inclusive, with no overage penalties when a program performs above expectations and no extra fees for program integrations. Get that in writing in your contract, along with the minimum term, notice period and what happens to your data if you leave.

The practical takeaway: before the call, decide which fee model fits how your channel is budgeted, and model both. A percentage-based fee scales with partner revenue, which is easier to justify early and more expensive at scale. A license fee is predictable but has to be paid whether or not the channel grows.

Partnerize vs impact.com

impact.com is the platform Partnerize is most often compared with, because both are partnership platforms rather than classic networks. The biggest difference at the start is transparency. impact.com publishes its lower tiers on its pricing page: Starter at the greater of $30 or 2.5% of monthly revenue, available only for listed ecommerce platforms such as Shopify, WooCommerce and BigCommerce, and Essentials at $500/mo, which includes up to $2,500/mo in partner payouts. Higher tiers involve a demo and a 12-month contract. Our impact.com pricing guide breaks the tiers down.

A note on the table: it compares what each vendor publishes. Feature depth inside each platform is something to test on a demo with your own use cases, not something either sales page settles.

When to pick which

These are rules of thumb from running programs, not vendor claims.

  • Pick impact.com if you want to start small on a published plan, you sell on a supported ecommerce platform, or you want a partner marketplace inside the platform (it is included from Essentials). Our impact.com setup guide shows what launch involves.
  • Shortlist Partnerize if you are a larger brand running several regions or currencies, you need to commission on custom data such as new customers or subscription quality, app conversions matter, or you want the vendor to supply program management as well as software.
  • Get both quotes if you are moving from a legacy network and your partner revenue is large enough that the fee model changes the answer. Ask each vendor to price the same scenario: your current partner revenue, your payouts and the regions you sell in.

Whichever you choose, switching platforms later costs effort: partners need new links and tracking has to be rebuilt and tested. Our migration checklist covers the move, and if you are weighing a platform alongside an existing network, see running an affiliate program on multiple networks. If a managed network is also on your list, our Rakuten Advertising guide for brands covers how Rakuten's account-team model now sits on impact.com's technology.
