impact.com for Brands: Pricing, Fees and What Drives Your Quote

What impact.com charges brands today, what the fee is actually charged on, which parts are still quoted, and how the model compares with Awin and CJ.

Most articles about impact.com pricing were written when the company did not publish a price list, so they lean on estimates and secondhand reports. That has changed. impact.com now lists four plans with monthly prices on its own pricing page, and its help center explains how the fees are billed. This guide reads those pages for you, from the brand side: what each plan costs, what the fee is actually charged on, which parts are still set in a sales conversation, and how the model compares with Awin and CJ.

Every price below was checked on impact.com's, Awin's and the other vendors' own pages on 23 October 2026. Prices change, so treat this as a map for your demo call and confirm the numbers in your own contract.

The short version

  • impact.com lists Starter at the greater of $30 or 2.5% of monthly revenue, Essentials at $500, Pro at $2,500 and Enterprise at $10,000 a month, all in USD.
  • Essentials, Pro and Enterprise each include a monthly allowance of partner payouts. Pay partners more than that and you pay for the extra volume.
  • Starter is self-serve with a 30-day free trial. The other tiers start with a demo and a 12-month contract, and setup help is billed at $250 an hour.
  • Awin charges a monthly fee plus a percentage of each sale. CJ publishes no advertiser pricing.
  • The real cost of the channel is partner commissions plus the network or platform fee plus your team's time. Budget all three.

How impact.com prices: platform fee plus usage

impact.com charges a monthly platform fee, and each paid tier includes a set amount of partner payouts that the platform will process for you. Here is what the pricing page lists today:

PlanListed priceIncluded partner payoutsWho it is for (impact.com's words)
StarterThe greater of $30 or 2.5% of monthly revenueNot statedBrands starting their partnerships channel or spending $300k a year in marketing
Essentials$500/moUp to $2,500/moBrands driving up to $2m a year in total ecommerce revenue
Pro$2,500/moUp to $14,300/moBrands driving $2m to $15m a year in total ecommerce revenue
Enterprise$10,000/moUp to $82,500/moBrands driving $15m+ a year or multi-channel operations

Starter

Starter is only available to stores on the ecommerce platforms impact.com names, including Shopify, WooCommerce, BigCommerce, Adobe Commerce and Squarespace. It includes basic tracking and reporting, partner recommendations, an Amazon, Walmart and Best Buy integration, and chat support, with no add-ons. impact.com's Shopify app listing spells out the formula: the price "is the greater of $30 or 2.5% of monthly revenue". The Starter billing article describes the fee as the greater of $30 or 2.5% of the total monthly revenue of locked partner costs, and says the first fee is charged after your first full calendar month. If you are on Starter, read that article closely, because the percentage, not the $30, is what you will pay once partners start selling.

Essentials, Pro and Enterprise

These tiers add the partner marketplace, multi-domain programs and dedicated support (Essentials), then API-based tracking, custom commission rates and the Data Lab analytics product (Pro), then custom implementations, a white-labeled partner portal, advanced fraud and risk scoring and multi-touch attribution (Enterprise). Creator management and the Advocate customer referral product are included from Essentials up. Paid add-ons such as Creator Premium, Optimize and AI Search Visibility sit on top.

One wording detail to raise on your demo call: the Essentials price block says the plan "includes up to $2,500/mo in partner payouts", while the feature list on the same card says "a minimum of $2,500/mo in processed partner payouts". Ask how that allowance is applied in your contract.

A useful way to read the table: the platform fee is a share of the payouts it includes. On Essentials, $500 covers $2,500 of payouts, which is 20%. On Pro, $2,500 covers $14,300 (about 17.5%). On Enterprise, $10,000 covers $82,500 (about 12%). That is our arithmetic on impact.com's published numbers, not a rate impact.com quotes, but it shows why the per-dollar cost falls as volume grows.

What happens when you pay partners more

The pricing page FAQ says you can scale payouts without moving tier: you "pay a la carte based on your current payout volume", with "no overage fees", only paying for what you use above your included capacity. For self-serve Essentials accounts, the Essentials billing article gives the rate: payouts above the included $2,500 are charged at 20%. It also notes that brands who signed up through the sales team may have different billing details.

Contracted accounts see this as an Incremental Growth Fee. impact.com's fees article lists three fee types on an invoice: the subscription fee, the Incremental Growth Fee for exceeding your payment processing volume allotment, and other fees such as setup, ad hosting, custom reports and wire processing. Its volume usage article explains that payment processing volume covers commissions, performance bonuses, minimum EPC costs, slotting fees and partner funds transfers, and walks through an example at 15.4% of the excess. That 15.4% is the help center's example, not a published rate, so ask for your own percentage in writing.

What drives the quote

The list prices are a starting point. For anything above Starter, impact.com's FAQ says pricing "is customized based on your payout volume and business model", and it recommends a demo where the team reviews "your partner volume, ecommerce revenue, and strategic goals" to pick a tier. In practice these are the levers that move your number:

  • Payout volume. How much commission, bonus and placement money you will push through the platform each month. This decides the tier and any incremental fees.
  • Revenue and business model. The tiers are framed around annual ecommerce revenue, and the FAQ names business model as a pricing input.
  • Setup scope. Starter has no setup fee. For Essentials and above, setup and onboarding are billed at $250 an hour, scoped with your implementation team.
  • Add-ons. Creator Premium (a dedicated creator expert for 2 hours a week), Optimize, AI Search Visibility and Brand Safety tools are extra.
  • Contract terms. Essentials and above run on a 12-month contract, and changing tier requires a new 12-month contract addendum.
  • Currency and region. Prices are in USD. Canada and Australia are billed in local currency, regional pricing for several other markets is due by December 2026, and other countries get local pricing confirmed in the first conversation.

We would not guess at a number for your program, and you should be wary of anyone who does without seeing your payout forecast. Go into the call knowing your expected monthly payouts for year one, the integrations you need and how much setup you can do in-house.

One cost no pricing page shows: the commission itself. Our guide to affiliate commission structures covers how to work out the total cost of a sale, including the platform fee.

Compare to Awin and CJ fee models

The three big networks charge in different ways, so compare total cost at your expected volume, not headline fees.

Awin's US advertiser pricing charges a tracking fee as a percentage of each sale, on top of the commission you set. Its own example: on a $100 sale with 6% commission, the partner gets $6 and Awin gets $3.50 on Access. Access also includes the first month free.

impact.com's model works from payouts instead. On the same $100 sale with a $6 commission, an Essentials brand inside its $2,500 allowance pays nothing extra beyond the $500 fee. Above the allowance, at the 20% self-serve rate, that $6 payout would cost $1.20 more. The difference matters most for brands with high order values and low commission rates, where a fee on sale value adds up faster than a fee on payouts.

CJ does not publish advertiser pricing. Its get started page routes advertisers to a sales form, so CJ is quote-based. If you want a like-for-like comparison, ask each network to price the same 12-month forecast of sales, commission and partner count.

For the wider decision, including which network suits which business, see our guide to choosing an affiliate network.

When impact.com is worth it

From our experience running programs, impact.com tends to earn its fee when:

  • You will pay partners enough each month to use most of a tier's included payouts. Paying $500 a month to process a few hundred dollars of commission is expensive per dollar.
  • You run more than one partner type. Affiliates, creators and customer referrals in one platform, with Advocate included from Essentials, can replace two or three separate tools.
  • You need control over contracts and tracking: custom commission rates, API-based tracking or multi-touch attribution (Pro and Enterprise).
  • You pay partners internationally. impact.com says it automates payouts in 70+ currencies.
  • You have someone to run it. The platform gives you the tools, but someone still has to recruit, brief and manage partners, and in our experience a program with no owner rarely grows.

It is harder to justify when your partner revenue is still unproven, when a 12-month contract is a real risk for your cash flow, or when your whole program is a handful of creators you could pay directly. If you are not sure, Starter's 30-day free trial is a low-risk way to test tracking on a supported store.

If you go ahead, our step-by-step guide to setting up an affiliate program on impact.com covers the setup itself.

Alternatives for small brands

If Essentials is more than you need right now, there are cheaper ways to start:

  • impact.com Starter. The same platform with a smaller feature set, if you sell on one of the supported ecommerce platforms. No setup fee and a 30-day free trial.
  • Awin Access. $49 a month plus a 3.5% tracking fee per transaction, the first month free and a 3-month minimum term, with access to Awin's partner network.
  • Affiliate software without a network. Tools like Rewardful (from $49 a month for up to $7,500 a month in affiliate-attributed revenue, with a 0% transaction fee) track and pay affiliates you recruit yourself. You give up a built-in marketplace, so recruitment is all on you.

Shopify brands have a few more options, which we cover in our playbook on affiliate marketing for ecommerce brands. Whichever you pick, make sure you can export partner and transaction data, so moving to a bigger platform later does not mean starting again.
